Prince William Bestowed With New Title By The Queen

Prince William has been given a new title by his grandmother as she appointed him the new Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.

The new title is, of course, accompanied by new responsibilities. From now on, William will be Queen’s personal representative for the Church of Scotland and will perform ceremonial duties.

Before his appointment, the position was held by the 10th Duke of Buccleuch, Richard Scott.

The new designation for William has come on the heels of the shocking decision of his younger brother to step back from his royal role.

An agreement citing terms and conditions of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from the royal family was settled just a week ago when The Queen and other royal members got together for a final decision.

According to the agreement, Harry and Meghan have to pay back the amount they spent to convert Frogmore Cottage into their royal residence.

They will also have to split their time between North America and the UK. In return, Harry and Meghan will be free from their royal roles and titles.

Despite the ongoing royal crisis, Prince William and Kate Middleton had been continuously carrying out their duties.

They recently hosted a reception as Queen’s representatives to mark the UK-Africa Investment Summit at Buckingham Palace.

Harry was also present at the summit to attend meetings with state leaders.

While delivering his speech, Prince William talked about the personal connection of his family with the African region.

He said: “The African continent holds a very special place in my heart. It is the place my father took my brother and me shortly after our mother died.”

The 37-year-old added: “And when deciding where best to propose to Catherine, I could think of no more fitting place than Kenya to get down on one knee.”
