Royal fans often say that Prince Harry resembles his mother late Princess Diana a lot but here’s a picture to prove that he resembles his grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh the most.
Getty’s Royal photographer Chris Jackson found a 1957 magazine cover of Prince Philip and posted pictures of the Duke of Sussex, 34, and the Duke of Edinburgh, then 36, on Instagram to point the amazing similarities.
He captioned the pictures:
“I spotted this beautiful 1957 vintage cover of a @parismatch_magazine whilst visiting our wedding venue in France a couple of years ago – Who does it remind you of!? Swipe right to see! I think it may have been colourised from a black and white negative but correct me if I’m wrong.”
“Was very happy when the lovely people at @chateaurigaud let me keep it! Whilst today it’s very much a ‘Modern Monarchy’ it’s these historical reference points that make photographing the Royal family so unique and remind you of the centuries of tradition that remain at their core.”
In the picture, the Duke of Edinburgh is wearing the same Tropical Dress of the Blues and Royals on the magazine cover that Harry wore to an ANZAC memorial on Saturday in Sydney.
The post instantly went viral and people totally agreed with the Royal photographer.
One fan wrote: ‘They are so similar and their bond is undeniable. Harry gets his handsome looks from His grandfather. And his mother of course.’
Another commented: ‘Wow! Who knew Prince Phillip was a ginger! Bravo, Harry, so much his own man, yet a bundle of look-alike heritage!’
‘They really do look alike! Thank you so much for sharing!’ another wrote.
Mr Jackson is currently covering the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal tour of Australia.
