Now, the estranged royal appeared to take aim at the Constitution of the United States as he called the highly-valued First Amendment “bonkers” and suggested it can be exploited.

“I’ve got so much I want to say about the First Amendment as I sort of understand it, but it is bonkers,” Harry insisted on Thursday as he appeared on Dax Shepard’s podcast.

“I don’t want to start going down the First Amendment route because that’s a huge subject and one which I don’t understand because I’ve only been here a short time.

“But, you can find a loophole in anything. You can capitalize or exploit what’s not said rather than uphold what is said.”

Following his controversial comments, the 36-year-old mental health activist raised plenty of eyebrows on both sides of the pond.

“For Prince Harry to condemn the USA’s First Amendment shows he has lost the plot. Soon he will not be wanted on either side of the pond,” British politician Nigel Farage tweeted in response to Harry’s comments.

Meanwhile, Texas congressman Dan Crenshaw wrote: “Well I just doubled the size of my Independence Day party.”

Plenty of viewers went on to condemn the prince for daring to speak against the Constitution so soon after leaving the UK to start a new life in the US.

“If he has a problem with the Constitution then he can go back to Britain,” someone wrote.
