Republicans have been criticized by President Joe Biden, retaliating against the political party who has not had faith in him and his future proposals.
His tax hike would help generate the $2 trillion plan to help the infrastructure and economic progress of the United States.
Coming back home from Easter weekend festivities, Biden tells reporters that “companies in the Fortune 500 … haven’t paid a single penny in tax for 3 years. Come on man.” Reporters asked if the man was worried, he responds with “Not at all, not at all.”
There has been many criticisms on the president’s end, Republicans claimed that his $2 trillion plan doesn’t have anything to do with infrastructure, which in turn, Biden slams down by explaining his future plans.
There has been a recent proposal to an increased tax rate from 21 percent to 28 percent, in hindsight undoes the cut that the Trump era had given the United States back in 2017. They also add on that they would increase the international minimum tax rate for American companies.
The reason why Republicans have complained about the tax hike is because they believe that his infrastructure plan does not only contain infrastructure construction, but assuming it may be contributing to something else.
Biden tells reporters that his plans include projects such as broadband internet or community-based care for the elderly and people with disabilities, clean water (which Flint, Michigan has been asking for a while now), funding for education, and much more.
To put those who are complaining in the shoes of those who need the funding, he explains “When you’re in a situation where you can’t turn on a water fountain in school because the water affects your health, that’s infrastructure.point 214 |

He compares the United States to other countries, saying that the rest of the world has already been investing in infrastructure and so should his nation. He wants to “compete with the rest of the world,” investing trillions of dollars into the infrastructure to make progress: for the economy and for the American people.
Some people think otherwise of his plans and continue to criticize him, just like Senator Roy Blunt, Republican, saying that it is “a big mistake for the administration. They know I think it’s a mistake..”
The political party has objected to the tax increases.
