While it is a normal deal of teens playing video games almost the entire day but getting extremely addictive to it is nothing but a sign of danger.
And this is exactly the same thing that took away this poor girl’s life
Alexus, who was just 20 years old was killed by her 16 years old brother Kevon Watkins who could not get over his addiction to video games.
When Kevon came home one day after school where he lived with his family in Macon, he was already pissed at something and went straight to his room.
At that time there were four people present in the house. Kevon, his mother Latoya, his elder sister Alexus, and their 13 years old brother who was the youngest of all.
While Kevon was in his room, the WiFi was not working right and he got pissed because everyone in the house was using it.
So he acted smart and changed the password of WiFi. His brother found out what Kevon did and told their mother Latoya who then changed the password again and kept the router in her room.
Kevon on the same got really mad and stormed to his mother’s room. He then started screaming.
His sister Alexus went into the room and stood with her mother trying to save her.
Kevon somehow got so mad that he first knocked Alexus down and then grabbed her in a chokehold.
His mother tried to separate the two when he was not leaving her she called 911.
The help came and when the officer asked him to release her on gunpoint almost after 11 minutes, he did and she fell on the floor almost lifeless.
She was given CPR and then was rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead.
The incident happened back in 2018 but when Kevon turned 18 in August 2019, he was sentenced to a lifetime imprisonment for killing his sister.
