Her mother said she was just frustrated and she didn’t even understand what she said.

Her mother Maggie told the teacher and the principal that her daughter didn’t understand what that means but they said they needed to convene a threat assessment team.

The mother said that the teacher and the principal agreed her daughter didn’t want to harm her teacher but they had to call in the police under a district protocol.

The mother said: “Now, there is a record at the police that says she made a threat to her teacher.”

Maggie and her husband then were interrogated by a local officer. The parents said that this is insane and ridiculous.

The school principal said that they called police under a district protocol.

Pennsylvania state law requires all school districts to inform when a students’ behavior “may indicate a threat to the safety of the student, other students, school employees, school facilities, the community or others.”

The district protocol is meant to identify future Columbine-style shooters.

However, while evaluating reports, police involvement is not required.

The mother of the student told CBS Philly: “You don’t understand, this is insane. I was fine with everything up until calling the police.”

“And I said, ‘You absolutely do not have to call the police. You know, this is ridiculous.’”

Police wrote up in the incident report that Margot does not have a criminal record.
