Police Launched Urgent Search For Missing Girl Who ‘Flew From New York to London After Texting Older Man’


16-year-old Victoria Grabowski from Queens in the United States boarded a flight from John F Kennedy Airport and arrived at Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom.

An urgent search is underway for the teen after she communicated with an older man.

According to media reports, her parents discovered messages revealing she had been talking with an older man in the UK.

Arkadiusz Grabowski, her uncle, said that “the texts show that she got fascinated with London and wanted to move there.”

American and British police are now working to find the girl who paid for her ticket in cash but her parents didn’t know how she got the money.

A New York Police Department spokesperson said: “She left JFK on Saturday morning and reached the UK on Monday morning.

“We’re working in conjunction with UK police, but unless she contacts us, we’re not going to know too much more.”

According to US reports, Grabowski, a Police citizen, used her Polish passport to board the flight.

“The Met was contacted by the National Crime Agency regarding a 16-year-old US citizen who is believed to have travelled to the UK via Heathrow Airport on Saturday, 24 August,” a spokesman said.

“She is being treated as a missing person and enquiries to find her are ongoing. Officers have liaised with her family and will be speaking with the NYPD.”

A family friend, Bernadetta Gajdrinski, also appeared on social media for help. “I have a great request to all my friends and acquaintances – those living in London and all of you who have family or acquaintances there.

“On Saturday the daughter of my friends travelled from New York to London without their knowledge. She is 16 years old and her name is Victoria Grabowski.

“Please send these photos further maybe someone will meet or notice her and then report it to the police. Help us find her.”
