Police Facing Backlash After Quoting Hitler In Training Presentation


The police is facing backlash after quoting Adolf Hitler in a slideshow presented during training.

According to Manual Red Eye, it was revealed that Kentucky State Police advocated violence and presented a quote of the Nazi leader in a training presentation.

In one of the presentation slides titled ‘Violence of Action’, the training implored police officers to be “ruthless” and to “meet violence with greater violence.”

“Be the loving father, spouse, and friend as well as the ruthless killer,” the underlined paragraph written in red read.

Below the guidelines, the police shared two quotes, one by Albert Einstein and another one by Adolf Hitler. “The very first essential for success is a perpetually constant and regular employment of violence,” the latter read.

The troubling presentation came to light after a Kentucky attorney requested the KSP to provide him with materials used during the training of a police officer involved in a shooting.

After the disturbing slideshow was uncovered, Morgan Hall of the Kentucky Justice & Public Safety Cabinet insisted that the presentation was not in use for the last seven years.

“It is unacceptable that this material was ever included in the training of law enforcement. Our administration does not condone the use of this material,” the Communications Director said.

“The material is not currently a part of any training materials and was removed in 2013.”

As RedEye reported, the presentation was also slammed by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear who called it “unacceptable.”

“This is absolutely unacceptable. It is further unacceptable that I just learned about this through social media. We will collect all the facts and take immediate corrective action,” the governor reassured in a statement.
