Micah Schieber, who is an 18-year-old teenager hailing from Midland, Michigan.
Micah may seem like an ordinary teenager but he is much more than that. Micah’s father Chad Schieber worked as a police officer in Midland Police Department for 14 years.
Chad’s heart failed while he was running in the Chicago Marathon. He was only 35 years old when he died and he left behind a wife and a 6-year-old son. According to his wife who told Midland daily news that Chad was such a nice man he always served his department and surroundings.
Micah was the son of a policeman so now he will be arranging several ceremonies and campaigns to honor his father. So did he, Micah used to arrange several fundraising campaigns. He made a very unique request to his mother just 8 weeks before he was going to be a graduate.
When they were inviting people to Micah’s graduation party, he asked his mother if they can invite the police department. After seeking permission from his mother he sent an email in order to invite the police department.
An email was sent to the police chief Clifford Block to which Block gave a positive response, as reported by Midland Daily News.
The party was held on June 14 and it was a complete surprise to Micah and his mother when 18 police officers came to their party in complete uniform and squad cars did parade. Not only Micah’s success was celebrated but his father was also paid tribute.
Micah expressed his feelings as it was one of the special days in his life as the officers reminded him of his father as to how great he was and he thanked his relatives for being there as moral support for him.
He also presented valuable gifts to the cops and in return, the cops gave him$111 badge tattoo to him which was his father’s batch reference number.
He thanked the police department for staying there with him in every thick and thin. He wanted to make the image of the police department to be good in the eyes of other people as they do not get much appreciation.
The chief block also showed gratitude towards Micah, and Micah told that although he is pursuing his degree in the automobile however he is interested in law enforcement.
