Police Claim ‘Jungle Spirits’ Could Be Involved In The Disappearance Of 15-Year-Old Nora Quoirin

Following the mysterious disappearance of 15-year-old Nora Quoirin who was on a vacation with her parents in Malaysia, the authorities have claimed that “jungle spirits” could play a role in her disappearance.

According to the girl’s heartbroken family, the 15-year-old went missing while they were staying at the Dusun resort despite the fact that she “never goes anywhere by herself.”

As the family added, she was last seen in her bedroom and there is “no reason to believe she wandered off and is lost.”

The authorities confirmed abduction could be the reason behind Nora’s disappearance and promised they were doing their best to find the girl.

“We’ve got a platoon from the general operations force as well as a police canine team to look for Nora,” Chief Che Zakaria Othman said in an interview with The Star.

Following days after the girl’s disappearance, however, the police have also announced that “jungle spirits” could be responsible for Nora’s disappearance.

While the idea isn’t very appreciated by the Westerners, senior officials claimed that local folklore describes mystical forces that control the jungle surrounding the resort from where the girl went missing.

According to the superstition, the spirits wander the jungle and may take vengeance on those who trespass without asking for permission first.

“In Malaysia and in thick jungle, we believe that there is someone who is the owner of the jungle. It is very hard to explain but something we take into account,” one source said.

One of the officers also spoke out and claimed that while the spirits are “unlikely” responsible for the girl’s disappearance, the police have acknowledged the legends and already sought advice from the expert on the matter.
