Palm Beach Police detained a man on Monday night after he was spotted lingering outside President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.
Photos obtained by Daily Mail show cops questioning the man for about an hour.
The man eventually left the scene and no arrest has been made.
This comes as several moving trucks arrived at the property in Florida.
Two Sterling trucks parked in front of Trump’s club and large boxes were carried into the club.
A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office chopper and a United States of America helicopter were hovering around the area, and law enforcement patrol boats were also monitoring the deliveries from a distance, WFLX reported.
Several news sources reported that Trump plans to leave Washington, DC on the morning of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.
Police Chief Nicholas Caristo and Town Manager Kirk Blouin said in a letter sent to residents that they expect roads to be closed around Mar-a-Lago club for “several days.”
“On Wednesday, January 20, 2021, we expect Secret Service to have a final road closure near Mar-a-Lago,” the letter reads. “The road closure will last several days for safety and security reasons. Beyond this, we do not foresee any future road closures related to the presence of a former President.”
Monday’s deliveries come days after staff at the White House were seen carrying old newspapers, documents, a Lincoln bust, artwork, and other mementos into moving vehicles.
Moving trucks were also seen outside the townhouse of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. The couple, who have been Trump’s White House advisors, are following him to Mar-a-Lago.
Ivanka and Kushner recently purchased a $30 million home on Miami’s Indian Creek Island, an exclusive enclave called ‘Billionaire’s Bunker.’
