A group of police officers in Los Angeles were forced to stand their ground and break up a birthday party of a one-year-old after some four dozen revelers refused to comply with social distancing orders.
The unusual confrontation occurred in Hyde Park, Los Angeles, where 40 partygoers held a birthday party despite the lockdown.
After the family was confronted by police officers, they have allegedly become agitated and the cops were forced to call for backup.
In the footage shared by OnScene, a huge number of officers is seen blocking the road while angry revelers continue to shout at them.
At one moment, the police used a loudspeaker to yell back at the lockdown violators and order them to cancel the party and disband.
According to the LAPD, no one was arrested at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, in another unrelated incident, a woman got arrested and charged with terrorist threats after spitting and coughing on groceries at a supermarket in Hanover Township, New Jersey.
35-year-old Margaret Cirko is a Pennsylvanian woman who’s facing serious charges after her unthoughtful ‘prank’ backfired and got her arrested.
The incident occurred at a Gerrity’s Supermarket where the woman threatened the staff and shoppers by claiming she has coronavirus before intentionally contaminating fresh produce.
According to the Hanover Township Police Department, Cirko coughed and spat “in several aisles before attempting to steal a 12-pack of beer as she was being ordered to leave the store by employees.”
After the incident, the store was forced to throw away potentially contaminated products including fresh produce, meat, and baked products.
As the store has revealed, their premises were thoroughly cleaned by the staff and contaminated food was thrown away following the bizarre incident.
