Pole Dancer Wears Colostomy Bag With Pride To Defy A Nurse Who Told Her ‘She’d Never Be Able To Wear Bikinis Again’

22-year-old Chloe Wilson from Crowle, Lincolnshire, has revealed why she shows off her colostomy bag – it’s to defy a nurse who told her that she would never be able to wear bikinis again after the surgery.

Last March, the pole dancer was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, a condition that causes long-lasting inflammation and ulcers in the digestive tract. She had been suffering from disabling stomach cramps since she was a teen.

Then, she decided to have her entire colon removed as no drugs prescribed by doctors had given her relief from the crippling pain.

But one nurse had told her she should think again as wearing a colostomy bag would mean she wouldn’t be able to wear bikinis.

I’d been in agony since I was 13 years old but doctors thought I was lactose intolerant,” she expressed.  “It was only when I collapsed from pain last March that I finally got the answers I desperately needed.

That’s why she decided to undergo a surgery and have her entire colon removed, but one nurse told her to reconsider.

I’d been in hospital for five weeks when the nurse came over and asked if I was sure about my decision as I’d never be able to wear a bikini like my friends.

I was already upset as I was in so much pain but her comments made things so much worse. It was lucky I hadn’t listened to her as surgeons warned that if I’d left things for much longer that it could have been fatal.”

Despite the nurse’s comments, Chloe now wears sports gear and bikinis regularly.

I was nervous the first time I put on a bikini and decided to show the world my colostomy bag,” Chloe said. “But I soon realised that people really don’t care and especially in pole fitness as everyone is just supportive.

I wear pretty bikinis with pride and there’s no reason why I can’t, it’s good to be different. I’m so happy I didn’t listen to the nurse who tried to put me down.”
