Any athlete who wants to do well in his/her chosen sport needs to go through a figurative meat grinder in order to get one’s body and mind in razor-sharp condition to beat the competition. This involves grueling training routines that often start early in the morning, sometimes before the sun even rises, and can end late at night.

While all that training can be exhausting, there are times that athletes have all this pent up energy that just needs to be released so that they don’t get burned out. It’s never a good idea to be always so high strung so blowing off some steam is also necessary.

A lot of players in sports teams try to take the edge off their training by goofing off and as long as it doesn’t affect their performance, it’s a healthy way to cope.

One college baseball team managed to do that by inventing a hilarious game that involved using a teammate’s bald head as a target board for sticky darts. The player in question is Brendan Duncan who is part of the Spokane Falls Community College baseball team.

The story of Brendan’s shaved pate stemmed from a bet that he made where he promised to shave his head if his team won the regional. The fact that he sports a shiny pate made it obvious that they won.

However, his team wasn’t satisfied and they wanted to use Brendan’s chrome dome as target practice for their sticky darts.

Brendan’s teammate Jadan Vandervet, 20, filmed a compilation of hilarious videos showing the various ways they used Brendan’s head as a target. From Brendan sitting on the toilet to turning long hotel hallways and lobbies into dart-shooting galleries, the players are having the time of their lives at Brendan’s expense, though he was a good sport about all of it.

Jadan said: “The idea for the darts came by accident while we were at target just messing around between games and found some darts and we started sticking them to things.

“Then we realized they would totally stick to Brendan’s head.

“It felt awesome when we landed the shots!

“The sound they made was hilarious and the welts it left on Brendan’s head were even funnier.

“We re-shaved his head every day for peak performance, stickiness for the darts and for peak presentation, we wanted him to look good.

“The looks he got from everyone everywhere we went for a couple of weeks were hilarious.

“It was a super fun experience and I’m glad I got all of it on camera!”
