Celebrities often feel the pressure to undergo plastic surgery because their looks are their stock in trade.
Ex-boy band star Ian Starr Kalatzis didn’t feel his stock was high enough so he underwent extreme plastic surgery that has made him completely unrecognizable from before as you can see in the video below:

The 36-year-old songwriter got his first taste of the limelight at the age of five. While most children remember trips to Disneyland or playground scenes, Ian’s childhood was rife with fashion parades, talent competitions, television shows, and beauty pageants.
“I absolutely love showbusiness,” Ian said.
Ian joined the boy band “Boystar” in 2002 and soon hit Australian charts with a cover of Billy Ocean’s “Loverboy.”
“We toured Australia and New Zealand, releasing an album and a few singles, and it was fantastic”, Ian said.
Ian left the boy band so that he could venture into a solo career but had to face a harsh reality check. Despite his initial success, it was hard for him to find work.
He added: “I suddenly wasn’t the flavor of the month.”
Ian attributed his tepid popularity to his looks which he described as “too plain looking.”
As with most celebrity makeovers, Ian turned to plastic surgery for a solution.
Ian said: “I had quite a lot of cash on me and a lot of time on my hands and that is a bad mix when you walk into a plastic surgeon’s office.”
Ian wasn’t a stranger to plastic surgery as he had his first liposuction when he was 13 to rid himself of “puppy-fat.” But this time, his aim was much more drastic.
Within a five-year span, Ian went through a long list of procedures all with the intent of heightening his features.
These procedures included several nose jobs, a neck-lift, cheek and jaw implants, a brow lift, and cat-eye surgery.
The surgeries were so extreme that people he knew failed to recognize him at first.
But for Ian, it was all worth it because his confidence suddenly went through the roof and a lot of opportunities now opened up for him.
As he approaches his 40’s, Ian wants to ensure that he maintains the new looks that earned him a new life in showbiz.
Ian said: “I still want to look good, I want to preserve my look, but I don’t want to cross that line of freakishness.
“Everybody wants to look good, and if anybody says that they don’t, well then they are a big fat liar.”
