It is always seen that animal rescue organizations come up with different creative ideas to get the animals adopted.
One way that was proven to be the most successful was to get along with some local businesses.
It becomes easy to tell people about the animals available for adoption, with these businesses. An example of this is Niagara SPCA.
An animal shelter in Niagara Falls, New York, named the no-kill shelter, teamed up with a local pizza shop, a franchise of Just Pizza & Wing Co. in Amherst.
And the idea they came up with is remarkable. They made flyers with photos of dogs on it, which were available for adoption, and put those flyers on their pizza boxes.
People absolutely loved the idea. While some enjoyed the cute dog pictures, the potential owners gave special attention to the adoption.
The campaign was a big success and went viral in no time.
Also, the pizza shop celebrated each and every adoption by giving away $50 gift cards to those who adopted a dog from the flyers.
The idea was given a boost when Mary Alloy, owner of the pizza franchise, decided to volunteer at Niagara SPCA.
She was asked what she thought about the idea of the campaign, by the event coordinator of the shelter, Kimberly LaRussa.
Mary loved the idea and was really excited about it. She got to work and made it happen.
Both, the shelter and the pizza shop were admired for coming up with such a brilliant idea and executing it in such a lovely way.
The first puppy was adopted on the very first day of the campaign and many more people were expected to come for the adoption.
This step taken by them will bring happiness in many houses, in the form of dogs and will get some dogs their permanent homes.
