The pigeon was badly injured and he thought that he must take it home otherwise will become lunch for cats.

He brought him home and started taking care of him he named the pigeon as Fred and as it was not possible for that beautiful bird to eat on its own so Mike used to feed him by hand-rearing.

He gave him cheese, mealworms and sweet corn in the diet.

Mike started to teach him how to toilet and when someone does these things to a bird they immediately imprint that this person is their parent.

When you start caring young birds they so imitation and as Fred did. Fred used to sit on Mike’s shoulders every time he sits to watch TV.

Mike narrates that when he saw Fred he found him very perplexed. When Mike brought him home he did research on how to feed and look after pigeons.

When he feeds Fred he can have a feeling of a mother feeding her son.

Mike has also arranged tree-like things for Fred to give him natural feeling like he has made a branch-like imitation where Fred can sit.

Fred is very trained as he lives in his cardboard box and he has never made Mike depressed or distressed because of him and upon that the sound which normally pigeons make is poo and now Mike loves that voice.

Even Fred has become famous in Mike’s locality as the pigeon who sits on the shoulders of Mike as if he is going to a ride.

Mike tries to give a good diet to Fred just as fruits and berries and after three weeks he will be able to feed himself and then Mike will send him to care of local bird sanctuary so that he can learn to fly and live with other pigeons.
