A viral video shows a pig falling from a helicopter into a family’s swimming pool in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
The holiday home is owned by Argentinian retail and real estate entrepreneur, Federico Alvarez Castillo.
Some people initially thought that the businessman was responsible for the sick prank, which quickly went viral on social media. But the 59-year-old wrote on Instagram and denied any involvement.
“In respect of the video that is circulating on social media, I want to repudiate this act of vandalism which my family and I were victim of and clarify that when the incident happened we were inside our house and heard a loud noise in the garden,” his Instagram post read.
“When we went out to see what it was, we saw the disgusting action which caused us a great deal of upset as a very, very sick joke.
“For this reason we repudiate these types of actions and we are working towards clarifying what happened as soon as possible.”
It is believed that the pig was dead when it plummeted from the chopper but Lara Bernasconi, Mr. Castillo’s wife, said to local media that it was not a pig but a lamb.
“Someone threw a lamb from a helicopter. We don’t have anything to do with this situation,” she told local media.
It is not clear whether authorities are investigating the matter.
One internet user commented: “Ight someone come with me to have a talk with the dickhead that did this, bring whatever you want.”
Another said: “I think it was alive or the person in the helicopter squealed.”
A third asked, “Was the pig alive??” Someone replied: “No, if it was it would have been screaming and moving it’s legs while falling.”
