Piers Morgan who has always been vocal about his dislike towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle admitted he has gone too far with his criticism.
The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain host has criticized The Duchess several times calling her ‘fake’ and even accused her of using her marriage to “get to the top.”
Piers recently slammed Harry after the news of the Duke finding Hollywood life challenging started floating on the Internet. He said: “This grates because they are currently in a mansion, which they are probably not even paying for, in Malibu, in Los Angeles, self-isolating having to do nothing at all.
“Nobody wants to hear about Prince Harry’s challenging life. We don’t want to hear about the struggle and battle of celebrities in multi-million-pound mansions.”
But now it seems, the host has changed his mind as he didn’t speak a single bad word about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during the interview with The Times. He even said he would try to change his perspective in the future.
He said: “Have I taken things a bit too far? Probably. Do I think that will govern and temper how I talk about them going forward? Absolutely.” It’s probably not wise, if you’re a columnist, to make things too personal.”
The host has previously called Meghan and Harry “two spoiled brats” and took a dig at the couple for travelling from Canada to Los Angeles during the coronavirus pandemic.
He praised other royal family members for staying at home and following the rules. “I’ve got to hand it to the Royal Family, the ones who stayed in the country,’’ Piers said.
“I’ve got to hand it to them and say they’ve done a great job of what they should be doing, which is just being comforters and consolers for the nation, stable and calm.”
