Three luxury hotels and three churches were targeted in a series of bombings in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.
Among the victims of the attacks were the three siblings and the children of ASOS tycoon Anders Holch Povlsen.
The funeral of Mr. Povlsen’s daughters Agnes and Alma and son Alfred was held at Aarhus Cathedral in Denmark. The service was attended by the country’s Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen and members of the Danish Royal Family.

Mr. Povlsen described their family’s loss as ‘utterly incomprehensible’ during a memorial service. He thanked family, neighbors and friends for their support and love, promising to get through the tragedy ‘together.’
According to MailOnline, Mr. Povlsen was staying with his family at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sri Lanka when it was attacked by terrorists.
He suffered some injuries while his third daughter, Astrid, survived the explosion.
Mr. Povlsen owns a sustainable clothing chain Bestseller, which is the home of popular brands such as Vera Moda and Jack & Jones. He is also the biggest stockholder in ASOS and the UK’s biggest private landowner.
Bestseller confirmed the heartbreaking news, saying: “Unfortunately, we can confirm the reports. We ask you to respect the privacy of the family and we therefore have no further comments.”
Around 500 people injured in the attack and about 290 people passed away. The country’s finance minister, Mangala Samaraweera, said the bombings were an attempt to drag Sri Lanka back into a civil war.
“Easter Sunday bomb blasts in churches & hotels, killing many innocent people seems to be a well coordinated attempt to create murder, mayhem & anarchy. All those who cherish democracy, freedom & economic prosperity must unite now with nerves of steel to defeat this heinous attempt,” he tweeted.
Authorities have arrested 24 people but it is still unclear as to who was behind them.
