Recently some pictures from the Chinese laboratory went out that have questioned their standards of the labs.
The images showcased the poor safety standards of the labs. It has risen suspicion over COVID-19 that has compelled the officials to remove it from its websites.
Donald Trump had been ramping pressure on Beijing for its contribution to the outbreak of the virus. It has further intimated the labs to remove the pictures.
Wuhan Institute of Virology turned down the speculations and denied the visit of U.S. diplomats who alarmed regarding the work on bats in the laboratory.
The picture has created a buzz, and the U.S. President is asking to answer their questions regarding the spread and origin of the virus.
The archive photos of the website also included pictures of staff members getting into the cave to take swabs from bats with coronavirus. It all happened when scientists were wearing minimal protection equipment.
On proper research, it was found that there is a lack of trained and qualified technicians and investigators in the lab.
Last month as well, there were some alarming pictures that went viral where the broken seal on the lab refrigerator could be seen.
The U.S. President referred that the virus must have been leaked from the accident in the institute. On Thursday, Trump was asked if he had seen anything that might point to the negligence of the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
To this, the President replied that he had seen, but he is not allowed to tell.
The Wuhan Institute of Virology’s website that includes the pictures of staff clarified the risk of working and said that viruses are untraceable, and when working in a lab with the highly pathogenic microorganism, opening a test tube is like opening a Pandora’s box.
Various protective measures are taken during the experiment to avoid operational errors.
