When celebrating birthdays, marriage, graduation day, and other special occasions, we all want to take a few photos to remind us of how we were feeling during the time the pictures were taken.
So when a man was planning to propose to his girlfriend, he hired a photographer to snap photos of their precious moments.
Photographer Jacob Peters received a message from the man who wanted to propose at the Hawks Bill Crag in Arkansas at sunrise.

Having accepted the job, Jacob left at 2:30 am and arrived at the park by 4:45 am. Then, he had to face a long hike uphill using the light from his mobile phone that had lost signal. By 6 am, he arrived at the perfect spot to hide, and he waited.
“Around 6:17 am a young couple shows up. It’s them. I’m sure of it. A little late but still not too late,” Jacob said.

“They go up onto hawksbill crag [sic]. Hang out for a few minutes, and then it happens. He pulls out a ring, kneels down behind her. She turns around and starts crying and hugs him and it’s obvious she said yes, and all went well,” he recalled.
“I stick around for 10-15 minutes after, just taking photos. Then they sit down, watch the sunrise, and I figured my job’s done, I’ll pack up and hike out.”

The exhausted photographer hiked again for an hour and went home. Since he had no phone signal at the park, he was finally able to send a message to his client, and he congratulated him before taking a nap at 9 am.
When he woke up and saw his reply, that’s when he realized his irreversible mistake. The man wrote, “I’m confused, we never saw you, and we got there a little late, are you sure it was us? I was in a blue plaid shirt…”

Jacob just photographed the wrong engagement!
“So basically I spent 6 and half hours, $40 in gas and food, 450 photos, and took the wrong couple’s photos,” Jacob expressed.
He tracked down the anonymous couple, and within four hours, he was able to find them. Now they have priceless photos of their life-changing moments, all thanks to one innocent mistake. Thankfully, Jacob’s client was not angry about what happened.
