People come in this world, live their life, give their share to the world and leave the world in tears, with a smile on their face.
No goodbyes are easy but the last goodbye is always the hardest one, especially when the person is biding its goodbye to life in the world.
This is the sad news for all the Star Wars fans. The actor who played Wookiee Chewbacca, Peter Mayhew is no more in the world. The news was revealed by his family on social media with a message expressing their sorrow.
The message said “We are extremely sad to announce that our beloved Peter is no more and our heart is breaking. He loved what he did and could never walk away from it. For him, his Star Wars family was everything and he could do anything in their love.
For him, the role in the movie was not that big deal but receiving the amount of love that he did made a huge difference in his life and we are grateful for that. He worked too hard to bring out Chewbacca to life and had a major impact in the film as well.”
Death can come any day and it can break every heart into a million pieces but the fact here is even more shattering because the man died a day before the officially celebrated Star Wars day on 4th of May.
In 2013, while in a conversation with a fan he revealed the story of how he landed in the role.
He said that he was sitting in George’s office, waiting for him to come in and that is when the producer, Gary Kurtz came in. Out of courtesy, he just stood up and that was it, that was his audition and the producer announced that he is the one for the role.
We might not have seen his face in the movie but we defiantly connected to him with heart and that is all that counts.
