The Answer

If you think that the man is telling the truth, you’re wrong.

Because the man is lying.

When the officers arrived at the scene to investigate, they instantly realized the man was lying.  If it’s summer in California, it’s winter in Argentina.

The man has sunburns which clearly explains that he wasn’t in Argentina at all, he was in California and attacked his friend.
