Life is unpredictable, and even the ugliest situations can turn out to become the story to share with your friends on Friday nights.
Some people are lucky enough to cheat during exams and avoid getting caught, while others can even cheat death.
As the title suggests, this post is dedicated to the latter – the people who survived the direst of situations. While some of them survived thanks to pure luck, others managed to fight their way out of troubles.
Even though fatal incidents may occur at any time, we hope to inspire people to stay strong and keep on fighting, as we never know how things will turn out.

1. Escaping a shark might sound unrealistic, but it happens, and this woman proved that!
2. While working as a constructor, Isidro Mejia fell off the roof and accidentally shot 6 nails in his head with a nail gun as he landed. Miraculously, he was okay.
3. Accidental gun discharge cost Ahad Israfil nearly half of his head. Somehow, he made it out alive and was able to continue living a normal life.
4. Smartphone saved his arteries from a chainsaw strike!
5. While he was set adrift on his small raft in the middle of the ocean, Steve Callahan was stranded for 76 days after his boat sank and before he was rescued.

6. While the car was fairly damaged, the driver made it out unscratched! However, few inches could have cost him his head.
7. Safety goggles have a clear purpose. Please use them when necessary.
8. After his helicopter crashed, Michael Benson survived two days inside the world’s most active volcano.
9. After spending 127 hours trapped under a boulder, Aaron Ralston amputated his own arm and made it out of the canyon.
