With the coronavirus pandemic taking over the world and forcing governments to initiate lockdowns to protect their people and stop the virus from spreading, people in self-isolation have started resorting to DIY haircuts to stay chic while their hairdressers are unable to tend to them.
Collecting some failed attempts to get the job done was South West News Agency who obtained pictures of brave individuals who didn’t think twice before testing their haircutting skills.
One such brave soul is 23-year-old Harry who came up with the ‘perfect’ bowl cut while in self-isolation.
“I did myself a bowl cut back when I had bleach blonde hair and, as shabby as it looked, I kind of styled it out. This time, however, things are different and it looks like I have a literal lid,” he told the outlet.
Another young man inspired by the bowl haircuts he saw online is 20-year-old Josh who allegedly wasn’t happy with the results at all.
As seen in another photo taken by Lara, women apparently aren’t much better at cutting their hair. While the 22-year-old also attempted a bowl cut, she ended up with a literal crow’s nest that will take months to recover from.
Meanwhile, some people have taken to social media to share their genius attempts at do-it-yourself haircuts.
“It’s a good job we’re self isolating, just let Sophie attempt a skin fade and now it looks like I’m about to nuke America,” Daniel Rundle announced on Twitter where he shared a picture of his cut after letting Sophie in charge of scissors.
