While the whole world is in lockdown, there are certain professions that are still working the daily grind.
Apart from the healthcare professionals and the police, the delivery drivers are still out there transporting goods and items in the midst of the pandemic.
People are showing their appreciation and gratitude towards them by leaving out essentials like hand sanitizers and toilet rolls. Amid the outbreak, key household items like sanitizers and toilet paper have become a currency in their own right.
People are panic-stricken, buying out the entire shelves of these items. This has led to them being scarce. Since the production is down, it will take time to produce more.
Therefore, the majority of the people are unable to get their hands on these key household essentials. It is particularly frustrating if you are out there all day risking your life during work.
To show their appreciation towards the delivery drivers, people have started to leave out some essential household goods that they can take for free whenever they need it.
A TikTok video has gone viral on Twitter that has garnered more than 300,000 likes. The video starts with a signboard that says “Delivery Drivers: Take it if you need it! Thank you for your hard work!”
Then it shows a delivery guy stopping his van seeing the sign, taking out toilet paper rolls and other essentials before leaving.
People are inspired by such generous behavior that they have also started distributing essential household goods to delivery drivers.
Another photo surfaced the internet. The photo showed a big cardboard box filled with toilet paper and drinks.
Delivery drivers are doing a great job transporting goods from one place to another, risking their lives, while the rest of us are sitting at home binge-watching our favorite shows on Netflix and other content.
