56-year-old David Oseas Ramirez was convicted in 2013 for molesting an 11-year-old girl.
He was murdered by a fellow convict who was placed in the same cell as him two months ago.
Ramirez is believed to have been brutally drowned in prison toilet in Jacksonville, Florida.
Police said that he may have exchanged insults with 43-year-old Paul Dixon, a murder convict who is serving a life sentence for murdering a person in 1993. After the insults, the problem escalated quickly and turned into a physical fight.
According to police, Dixon pushed Ramirez’s head into the toilet. Ramirez was listed as being released form Duval County Jail due to his death, The Sun reported.
Both Dixon and Ramirez were kept in the prison’s upper floor served for the most violent criminals.

The Facebook post also said that there was another prisoner in the cell who saw the fight as well as the murder but he didn’t want to cooperate with police.
Dixon also refused to talk and is demanding he should get an attorney.
“When men go to jail accused, convicted of hurting a child, there is no peace in jail. They have to constantly watch over their back. They have to hope they can befriend someone to look out for them. To protect them,” Ken Jefferson, a crime and safety analyst, said.
Surveillance footage is being reviewed after it was handed over to investigators. “Every aspect of this incident will be evaluated and the investigation is ongoing,” stated the Sheriff’s office.
