A man has miraculously recovered from cancer despite being given just months to live by doctors who discovered an inoperable tumor.
Some two years ago, 51-year-old Peter Hinds from the UK was told he had just six months to live due to his intestinal tumor that was allegedly beyond treatment.
Refusing to give up, Peter, who ended up in a wheelchair, and his wife Maxine did their best to find an expert for a second opinion.
While the man was already planning his funeral and saying his goodbyes, his condition started improving significantly after he was put on a chemotherapy program at cancer treatment center called The Christie.
“I was broken when I went there. I was expecting them to confirm there was nothing to be done. But straight away they gave me hope,” Peter said.
Twelve 2-week cycles later, the 51-year-old’s tumor was almost completely gone.
As Peter revealed, he first realized something was seriously wrong with him after he started frequently vomiting back in 2016.
Following multiple trips to the hospital, however, his doctors failed to properly diagnose him and kept on sending him home with standard prescriptions until he finally collapsed in 2018.
“I was numb. Completely numb,” he recalled.
After Peter was rushed to the ER and referred to The Christie, he was finally diagnosed before being given a proper treatment that led to his tumor almost completely disappearing.
“Peter always maintained a very positive attitude through the chemotherapy. We’re delighted,” the 51-year-old’s doctor, Angela Lamarca, said.
