It is said that parents never let anyone harm their child, but what if the parents become the ones who are harming their baby?
A case similar to the statement above has come out where a coupe starved their 20 months old toddler to death.
The poor baby was so hungry that he ate lint from the blanket to content its hunger.
The couple was already found guilty but have requested a retrial now.
29 years old Corey Moore, the father and 27 years old mother Christy Moore, from Princeton, West Virginia, were arrested and stated to be guilty in November of 2019 with the charge of murdering a child by his guardian, custodian, or parent, and with another charge of neglecting child resulting in death.
The 20 years old toddler Jeremiah, was stated to be dead at Princeton Community Hospital and it was a year later that his parents were found guilty of the awful crime they have convicted.
After the medical examination of the poor child’s body, it was found that the baby was extremely malnourished.
While the ideal weight of a child of 20 months of age is about 25 pounds, Jeremiah only weighed 11 pounds.
In the autopsy report, it was found that the baby was eating lint from the blanket to keep his hunger in control.
The lawyer of the parents of Jeremiah has pleaded a retrial as he says there is no proof that says the parents killed the child and it was intentional.
On the same, the judge handling the case said that a child is completely at its parents’ mercy.
The child is unable to get its self food when it is starving and it is unable to take itself to the hospital when it severely ill.
What happened to the child, in this case, is entirely due to ignorance of its parents and they are the killers of a young life.
