Gerald Redmond and Jessica Johnson from Michigan said the babysitter had crashed her car carrying their three young children but put the children to bed instead of calling emergency services.

Jeremiah was found lifeless the following morning.

According to Fox 2 Detroit, Johnson had dropped off Jeremiah, his twin brother, and her 7-year-old daughter, at the babysitter’s house on Saturday.

The 33-year-old babysitter allegedly loaded the children into her vehicle which didn’t have seat belts and crashed into a tree.

The devastated father, Redmond, said that the babysitter covered up the incident by simply putting the children to bed instead of calling 911.

The caretaker even contacted a tow truck to take her destroyed car back to her home.

“Nine-one-one should have been called, the tow truck driver when he arrived there, he shouldn’t have moved that vehicle,” Redmond expressed. “Then my son has to die because someone that night was hiding something.”

The couple’s 7-year-old daughter said she was covered in blood and Jeremiah was crying after the crash.

But when they returned to the babysitter’s Roseville home, she was put to bed with a bag of frozen vegetables.

Police confirmed that the babysitter had the three young children in her vehicle, which did not have enough car seats and seat belts, and that she did not report the crash.

Heartbroken Johnson said her two-year-old son was still alive after the incident and could’ve survived had the babysitter called emergency services.

The grieving parents now want the babysitter charged with child endangerment and leaving the scene of an accident.
