Parents of a baby boy with an incredibly long name have spoken out and blasted the authorities for refusing to issue the child’s birth certificate.
The incident takes place in Tuban Regency, Indonesia, where Arif Akbar and his wife gave their son a very long name with a profound meaning only for it to cause major issues for the family.
If you’re already excited to hear the entire name, here it comes. Get ready! The boy’s name is Rangga Madhipa Sutra Jiwa Cordosega Akre Askhala Mughal Ilkhanat Akbar Sahara Pi-Thariq Ziyad Syaifudin Quthuz Khoshala Sura Talenta.
Though the parents often call their little one Cordo, they refuse to simply name him Cordo on his birth certificate and demand his entire 18-part name is listed in the official record.
The agency responsible for issuing birth certificates, however, considers the name too lengthy and continues to turn down the parents’ request to include the complete name on the boy’s birth certificate.
According to the upset parents, they have been fighting for three years to no avail, whereas they have recently reached out to the president in an attempt to get their way with their son’s name.
Though changing the name would be the easiest solution, the father insists that his son’s name has to remain complete because it has deep philosophical connotations concerning the boy’s future.
“I’ve been fighting for three years to process my son’s birth certificate at the agency. Every time we visit the office, we were told to wait,” Akbar expressed.
“The last time, we were offered the solution to change my son’s name.
“The meaning of his name is for him to become a worldly figure who is known across the world, an individual who doesn’t think narrowly, or primordially, but has global insight as well as the initiative and power to realize his great insight.”
