A store owner has doubled down on his stance and explained why he refused to obey the Black Lives Matter mob that accosted him and demanded he voices his support for the movement.
Fadi Faouri is a Louisville businessman who stood armed in front of his store amid Breonna Taylor demonstrations when a group of people approached him and pressured him to say that black lives matter and that Breonna Taylor matters.
Despite the pressure of several protesters, Faouri, who grew up in Jordan, refused to budge and comply with the mob.
In an interview with Fox News presenter Tucker Carlson, Faouri insisted he didn’t comply with their demands because he is a free man when asked why he resisted the BLM mob.
“The answer to that question is because no one can force me to do something that I don’t want to do. It’s just for the simple fact like, I’m a free man, you know? That’s the simple answer to it,” he said.
“Nobody can intimidate me basically, it’s that simple. They basically tried to force me to say black lives matter or her name Breonna Taylor. And I was like, I’m not, I’m not going to do it. Whether they like it or not.”
As the businessman claimed, he has received plenty of support from people from all over the States after standing his ground and defending his store.
Following the heated debate outside Faouri’s store, the protesters moved on.
Later that night, one of the business owner’s leased buildings got firebombed. As of this writing, it is unclear who was behind the attack and whether the building was specifically targeted or not.
