A grieving pet owner has opened up about her dog’s passing and revealed that the pooch appeared to her in the clouds moments after passing away.
As 19-year-old Lucy Ledgeway explained, her beloved dog named Sunny had passed away on Saturday at the age of 14.
While the girl first thought that she would never see Sunny’s face again, she was surprised to glimpse a group of clouds resembling the dog’s face just moments after his death.
“It was so weird. I was thinking to myself that I wanted to see Sunny in the sky as a sign that she was OK,” the heartbroken owner said.
“I was crying my eyes out and I looked up in the sky and saw Sunny. I quickly took a photograph before the clouds moved and sent the picture to my mum, who also thought that the photo looked exactly like Sunny. It is crazy really.”
After the York-based teen shared the photo she had taken on social media, the picture soon went viral with people admitting that the resemblance between Sunny’s face and the cloud formations is undeniable.
Explaining the situation surrounding Sunny’s death, Lucy said that the pooch was being taken to the vet by her father when he suffered a seizure and passed away.
As the 19-year-old went out for a ride to clear her head, and just as they passed the place where she usually walked her dog, Lucy and her boyfriend spotted Sunny’s face in the clouds.
“After seeing Sunny in the sky I felt a warmth. It was her way of telling us that she is OK,” Lucy concluded.
