Owen Wilson is not involved and has never met her only daughter Lyla, his ex-girlfriend Varunie Vongsvirates told Daily Mail.
According to the girl’s mother, the actor has never had any contact with Lyla but he spends time with his two other children, Finn, 7, and Robert, 10, whom he had with different mothers.
Vongsvirates shared a photo of Lyla on Instagram to mark the blonde and blue-eyed girl’s third birthday.
Speaking to Daily Mail, Vongsvirates said: “He has never met her unfortunately.”
In the photo of the little girl, the caption read: “Happy 3rd birthday to my wild child! I love you so much!!!!”
In 2019, Vongsvirates told the news outlet that she has pleaded with Wilson to get involved in Lyla’s life.
“He helps financially but it’s never been about that,” she expressed at that time.
When asked about this, the 37-year-old said: “Lyla needs a father. It’s ironic how (Owen) keeps getting these father roles, he’s playing a father in his new movie, and he’s never met his own daughter.”
Wilson and Vongsvirates dated for five years before they decided to separate ways. In 2018, he underwent a paternity test that confirmed he was Lyla’s father.
Vongsvirates reportedly gave birth to their daughter on October 9, 2018 without the actor by her side.
A source told Us Weekly that he “checked the no visitation box in court in June” and does not want “any custody of her.”
Wilson will co-star with Jennifer Lopez in the movie ‘Marry Me’ which will come out next year.
