Jared Mollenkopf weighed 500 pounds when he turned 40.
Due to his weight, he was unhealthy, unhappy, and always lived in an unpleasant state. His work-performance was deteriorating with each passing day.
He was simply tired to sit 8 hours at a place to do his job. He always bought the largest trousers that were available at the local ‘fat guy’ store. He realized that he had to change something.
Jared said that he had been fat ever since he was born. With each day, he felt that he was getting heavier than he was before. He was completely aware of the fact that he was doing nothing to end his source of suffering neither did he have any interest in it. Eating a box of doughnuts would only make him fatter but he did not stop.
His back hurt, it became harder for him to stand up. Even walking became difficult for him. One day, something struck his mind. He decided that he had to make a change. Jared enrolled in a DDP Yoga exercise program.
This was an amalgamation of yoga, sports therapy, and traditional fitness. This workout did not place much stress on joints and allowed people to lose weight. Following this practice would also help Jared gain some muscles, and thus it was the ideal choice for him.
Jared found it difficult in the beginning but did not give up. In 9 months, he lost about 190 pounds. One day, he met Joseph Falkinburg, the author of DDP Yoga. Joseph couldn’t really believe the amount of weight Jared had lost in the past few months. Jared had been documenting his progress regularly on DDP Yoga’s social media page.
Fast forward nine months, Jared was invited at the DDP Yoga Performance Center to feature in the workout videos. His inspiring story can motivate people who struggle to lose weight.
