Yard sales are an easy and great way to clear out your closet, and home in general.
Prices are undeniably good since most of the items are old, slightly used or new but sold at a giveaway price. Vendors are also very friendly. Shopping in a yard sale is like treasure hunting, you never know what gems you are to find.
They also help you get rid of a bunch of unwanted items, leaving you enough space to add new things in your home. Yard sale shopping is a fun and perfect bonding activity with one’s family and friends. If you are a vendor, it can be an emotional roller coaster, seeing some of the items you had hoarded for so long go. It stirs up past memories of how you first came by them, where and how you acquired them.
What better way to meet new people and possibly make new friends than at a yard sale?
One anonymous lady happened to host a garage/yard sale at her premises where she met a mother and daughter who truly humbled and blew her mind away. From what she witnessed, she was left dumbfounded and pretty amazed.

She saw this young girl and her mother approaching the property with a glint in their eyes. She wondered what could have been going on with the duo. She watched them as they approached her stall and scanned the items for sale, the little girl landed on the Pink Disney Princess TV that was on the table. Her dull eyes lighted up because she wanted it for herself.
The yard sale host reveals that she thought the little girl was going to ask her mother if she could have the Pink Disney Princess TV. To her dismay, she did not. Instead, the little girl politely asked her mother if there was anything she could do to earn money so that she could be able to the TV. The yard sale lady was astonished as she could believe what she had heard. She was surprised at how a little 6-year-old girl could be so understanding and clever.
She neither asked to have the Pink Princess Disney TV nor did she throw a tantrum when her mother told her that she could not afford it at that time. How adorable! It’s so amazing and minds boggling how this little angel even came up with the idea that she had to earn money first to buy what she most desperately wanted-the TV.
The woman went ahead and shared this amazing story on a Facebook page call known as “Love What Matters.” She further adds that the mother to this little girl in response to her query told her she could not afford to buy the TV now as she kissed her forehead. This did not make the girl angry or disappointed as the woman had expected, however, she simply answered:

“It’s okay mommy” and grabbed her mother’s hand.
The woman hosting the garage sale was impressed with the little girl’s discipline and willingness to work for things in life. Her heart completely shattered into pieces on hearing the words that came out of the little girl’s mouth. She said that she could tell that this mother and daughter had obviously gone through something because through, even their interactions were very genuine and precious.
She further adds that her heart broke each time she saw the little girl stare admiringly at the Disney TV.
After a lot of consideration, the mother and her daughter brought the items they wanted to buy up to the woman. She took a glance at the girl’s face and felt pity for her, she desperately wanted her to own the TV, that very moment as she stared at the little girl, she knew she had to act quickly and make a decision before she lost a chance.
She said to them,
“I would like you to have these things, no charge.”
This was such an unexpected kind gesture that it brought tears to the mother of the girl as she thanked the yard sale host. The girl’s mother told her how grateful she was and how much this meant to her. She added that she had no idea how the saleswoman had helped them. She was overly-joyed.

Then she asked, “but why?”
The yard sale woman replied,
“I sense that you are going through something right now, and I don’t need to know what that ‘something’ is. But you obviously have not let it deter you from being an amazing mom, and you are raising a wonderful, beautiful, joyful, polite, little girl.’”

After giving the mother and her daughter permission to take anything they needed, the woman said she quietly asked the little girl’s mother if she could give her little girl the Pink Disney Princess TV, to which the mother accepted wholeheartedly.
The little girl’s face lit with happiness on hearing this. She was ecstatic. Her dream of owning the Pink Disney Princess TV had come to life. She smiled broadly, she could hardly believe what she had just heard. The yard sale woman lamented,
“I wish everyone could have seen the look on that beautiful little girls face when my husband carried that TV to her car. I will never forget it.”
