A woman from Alabama has hit the jackpot after she found a Galia Lahav wedding dress worth more than $6,000 for only $25.
Emmali Osterhoudt and her roommate were visiting their local Goodwill to buy some picture frames for their wall when she found her future wedding dress.
Taking to TikTok to share her amazing discovery, she revealed that she just did not walk away with the ultimate prize but that the bejeweled gown also fit her perfectly.
Emmali said that her friend noticed a rack that they had not checked yet after she had already paid for the picture frames.
The two then decided to take a look at the rack before leaving and she was shocked to find the stunning dress.
In an interview with Insider, she said: “I thought it was gonna be like the ’80s, poofy sleeves dresses because we’ve always wanted to reenact that scene from Friends where Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe are sitting on their couch in ’80s wedding dresses.”
She continued: 2So I go over there, and she shows me this dress and it was so pretty. It looked like it was my size, so we go and we try it on, and it fits like a glove.”
Emmali knew she had to buy the gown and it was only when they returned home that she found the tag inside saying it was a Galia Lahav design from the Gala range.
Even though she’s not yet engaged, she said that she and her boyfriend are planning to get married soon and that she’s planning to wear the gown on their wedding.
Yael Griedman, the brand’s global public relations manager, said: “Emmali is the definition of LUCKY GIRL – congratulations!”
