Taking to TikTok, Brielle has shared her struggles as an employee and asked those with full-time jobs how they manage their time.

“I know I’m probably just being so dramatic and annoying, but this is my first job, like my first 9 to 5 job after college,” she said.

Brielle explained that it takes her hours to get to her place of work. “I’m in person, and I’m commuting in the city, and it takes me f***ing forever to get there.

“There’s no way I’m gonna be able to afford living in the city right now, so that’s off the table.”

To get to her job, she has to be at the train station at 7:30 am. She gets home at around 6:15 pm.

“I want to shower, eat my dinner, and go to sleep. I don’t have time or energy to cook my dinner either. I don’t have energy to work out, like, that’s out the window,” she expressed.

She also clarified that her job was not the problem but the lifestyle of working for eight hours per day. “If it was remote you get off at 5 and you’re home, and everything’s fine,” she continued.

But because she has to commute to work, her work day does not end for her until she finally returns home, which takes over an hour after leaving her workplace.

“How do you have friends? How do you have time to like meet a guy? How do you have time for dating? I don’t have time for anything, and I’m so stressed out,” she added.

One person commented: “You’re not alone. It’s insane how legit your entire day is gone. This is why we need 4-day work weeks.”

Another said: “I remember having this same realization… like this is what I couldn’t wait to grow up for? to live like this?”

A third added: “40-hour work week was designed with a homemaker to take care of house tasks. We need dual incomes now, so that’s not possible. No time for anything.”
