A woman has revealed why she stopped being intimate with her partner and now she’s receiving positive remarks for her honesty.
Bella Davies from Sydney said she avoided s*x with her partner after gaining weight but now she is not ashamed of her body.
“My face is getting rounder and my stomach softer. Exercise is beginning to feel like a chore,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I feel heavy, sluggish and sadly uncomfortable,” Bella continued. “My body has changed and I’m trying to adapt to the weight gain.”
She also said cellulite start to develop “in places I didn’t know it could,” and now her arms jiggle when she walks.
Bella said it was difficult to adjust to appear different than the way she used to but she now hopes that others reading her post will also love themselves.
“I hope you refuse to be disgusted with yourself when your favorite dress no longer zips up,” she said.
“I hope you refuse to feel guilty when consuming a delicious doughnut.
“I hope you refuse to feel ashamed for putting on weight. Because there’s nothing shameful about gaining weight.”
Bella also said that while your size might change, “your worth has not.”
“You are not unlovable, unworthy or unattractive because you gained weight.”
Bella also encouraged others to show their body “kindness and appreciation.”
“You are a masterpiece,” she added.
In another post, she shared how her weight gain stopped her from having s*x with her partner.
“Does my body feel softer to him? Heavier? Does he notice I’ve gained weight? Do I still turn him on?’ I wonder.
“Stop letting your body insecurities hold you back from enjoying intimacy.”
