A woman from Canada has shared the reason why she doesn’t want to have any children and many people can actually relate.

When Bree, 25, was asked if she has kids, her reply was: “Absolutely not.”

She said that she is satisfied being the ‘cool aunt’ and doesn’t want the responsibility that comes with being a parent.

In her TikTok video, Bree further explained: “I would love to be a parent, I would love to be a dad. I don’t get that choice – I would have to be a mother – and there is no way in hell I would ever wanna be a mother.

“I don’t want the responsibility of being a mother. I want to be the cool parent, I want to have as little responsibility as possible and mothers don’t get that.”

The 25-year-old also said that when she tells someone her reason, she ‘watches the initial confusion on their face’ before they understand her explanation.

“After seeing all the unappreciated invisible effort my mother puts in for us I could not imagine that being my life!” she added.

Her video has quickly gone viral with over 970,000 views and many praised her for ‘knowing what she wants.’

One person commented: “I told hubby from the beginning that he would have to be the mum but he didn’t wanted that either. So we stayed child free.”

Another said: “I am so overwhelmed as a working mother. I am at a point where I might need to stop working because of high daycare fees. But why me and not dad?”

A third said: “I’m 100 per cent saying this from now on at family gatherings.”
