A woman has shared how she suffered a sharp pain in her right side only to discover that one of her organs was missing.
Ciara took to TikTok and claimed her appendix was missing after doctors told her that the organ did not show on a CT scan.
“I’ve a little bit of tingy pain in my right side, but I thought it was a cyst and Cory was like, ‘that’s where your appendix is, you need to go get checked out,’” she said.
The next day, Ciara went to the hospital where she was told by a doctor that her symptoms sounded like appendicitis.
“And he’s like, ‘We’re going to do a CT scan, and then we’re going to do an ultrasound to check out a bunch of things.’”
But after the scan, she said that the doctor returned to tell her that they had figured out some stuff but it was not appendicitis.
“(The doctor) said: ‘first of all your appendix didn’t show up on the CT scan’ and I was like ‘where is it?! Why aren’t we more concerned about that?’”
Even though Ciara was worried, she was assured that there was no inflammation for where the organ should be.
“I don’t like how we’re just glossing over that my appendix is missing. I’ve always had it,” she exclaimed.
When podcaster Jeri asked: “Is it gone still? Did they ever find it?”
She replied: “That’s the thing, (the doctor) was like, ‘it’s fine, there’s no inflammation, so that’s what we look for. He basically said, ‘we can’t find it so we don’t know.’”
Ciara also said that the doctor also explained to her: “’On your ultrasound though, you do have cysts on your ovaries. You have a dime-sized one and you have fluid all throughout your pelvic region, which means one just burst.
“’Funny thing though, the ultrasound technician noticed a spot in your right lung.’
“That’s a f****** sentence I never want to hear in my life,” she expressed.
The doctor then assured her: “Your white blood cell count is good so we’re not worried.”
