A young woman has asked the internet for advice after her mothers lashed out at her for not agreeing to their bizarre proposal.
The 24-year-old lady in question revealed that her adoptive parents, who adopted her when she was 14, are two women aged 67.
While the poster admitted she grew up close to her adoptive moms, she said she started feeling uncomfortable around them after they started talking about having another child and joking about the idea that she could be a surrogate mother because both of them were already too old.
“Once I reached the age of 21 they started pushing the idea on me as a joke at first of having their next kid to raise by themselves with me out of the picture since no adoption centers would allow them to adopt any kids due to their age and one of my mothers jail time,” the daughter wrote.
“I never found those jokes funny and always said no since they made me very uncomfortable. Last week they called me to come over for dinner I accepted since I haven’t seen them for 7 months only through a call.
“Once I arrived they began to show me baby clothes and pictures of me as a baby saying how badly they want one. I laughed it off. They then sat me down and said ‘i want you to have our next kid we already have a donor and we cannot conceive anymore due to our age we would pay completely.’
The woman went on to reveal that she “flat out disagreed” with her mothers’ proposal before running out of their home while they kept on yelling at her and insisting she was being rude to decline after everything they did for her.
After asking the internet for advice, the woman was reassured that she didn’t do anything wrong. Most people also suggested that her mothers were out of line and that their request was not only bizarre but also disgusting.
