A woman was left devastated after she lost her entire life savings to a ‘psychic’ who made her believe that he could get rid of the ev*l spirits inside her.

After walking out of an abusive relationship, Antoinette from Melbourne found a local ‘healer’ whose website describes him as a ‘renowned best psychic, astrologer, and spiritual healer.’

The con artist also listed numerous services he provides, including black magic and curse removal.

Antoinette then scheduled a $62 reading, hoping that it would change her life for the better. However, the psychic told her that she was cursed and that ‘ev*l spirits’ trapped inside her body.

The woman said that they had multiple sessions, with the healer pressuring her into spending more money to get rid of all the bad spirits.

Speaking to 9Honey, she recalled: “At that time I was just really, really vulnerable and I had nothing to lose. That’s when it went from £50 ($62) to £1k ($1.26k), to £2.3k ($2.9k), and then all of a sudden he was asking for £8.7k ($10.9k).”

But when Antoinette could no longer afford the psychic’s expensive fees, he allegedly started to blackmail her.

He allegedly told her that she could not tell her family or friends about the ev*l spirits as they would come back in a worse manner. He even told her that if she did not pay, she would tragically die.

The frustrated woman said that the healer managed to manipulate him that she became so determined to get rid of the bad spirit and paid more than £15k ($18k).

Antoinette said that the scam impacted her mental health that she kept it a secret for a very long time.

“I just let it go because I thought, ‘This is just so embarrassing. How could this happen to me? I’m smart,’” she expressed.
