A young woman has spoken out and defended her relationship after vile trolls accused her marriage of being fake.
As 28-year-old Gina Miyares from Boston revealed, she’s been in a happy marriage with 24-year-old Josh for three years.
Despite making it clear they are together, the couple still faces criticism and “disgusting” comments by people who refuse to believe they are actually partners.
According to Gina, she is often accused of running a fake marriage by people who say her husband is too good-looking to be with her.
She is often also told that he might be pretending to be in love with her or secretly cheating on her.
“I’ve had people say: ‘Oh wow, I’m surprised you two are together as Josh is so active and fit.’ They even say I look like a man, which is ridiculous, or they think Josh is secretly gay and pretending to like me,” the young lady, who works as a resident director at a local school, expressed.
“People don’t understand how you can love someone plus-sized. They say our marriage is fake and that Josh is very attractive.
“It’s rude but I’ve heard it so much now that it doesn’t bother me. I feel bad for these people as they don’t know what it’s like to feel unconditional love.”
Meanwhile, Josh took a strike at the judgmental people who constantly comment on his wife’s appearance and compare the two even though it’s none of their business.
“I want to yell at social media sometimes. It hurts to see people saying these things about my gorgeous wife,” he said.
“We laugh about it ourselves. What is hurtful is the assumptions made.”
Despite the senseless backlash they face, the couple continues sharing their life experiences, including struggles with fertility, on the internet.
They also learned to ignore the negative comments knowing they’re “secure in ourselves” and madly in love with each other.
