A woman sparked a debate on social media after revealing that her husband used an ugly dog filter on her when she asked him to document her labor.

Sarah Griffith was lying in a hospital bed while in labor when her husband decided to make a video so that she could remember the special moment in the future.

The man, however, thought it would be funny to replace his partner’s face with Snapchat’s ‘weird dog’ filter without her knowledge.

“POV: You’re in labor and think your husband is getting sentimental footage for you to look back on,” the woman wrote as she shared the hilarious footage online.

In the clip, the man can be heard encouraging his wife to pose while jokingly calling her pretty. Unaware that she was getting pranked, the woman looks towards the camera while flashing a peace sign with her hand.

Soon enough, the clip went viral with thousands of people condemning the husband for “ruining” the special moment for the sake of fun.

“He better have gotten another photo or video. There is no excuse for this. This isn’t f**king funny girls! Don’t be [with] men like this,” one woman wrote.

“This would make me divorce him,” another said.

Plenty of viewers, however, rushed to the man’s defense saying the filter makes the video more memorable and something they will all enjoy watching in the future.

“That’s something my man would do…just to make me smile,” one woman said.

“My husband did the same exact thing when we were out on a date. I thought he was being all cute and he posted it on his story,” another added.

After some backlash, Sarah came up with an update in which she defended her husband and explained that he took plenty of other videos and photos without the filter.

“Men like this keep life fun. I promise we got lots of other videos and pics too so it’s all good!” she responded to the critics.
