A woman has recalled her nightmare date saying she was left stranded at a restaurant by a man.
Annie Goodwin of Seattle, Washington, opened up about her negative dating experience on TikTok as she explained her potential boyfriend left her mid-dinner saying he just needed to go to the restroom.
After waiting for tens of minutes, the young woman realized her date was never coming back. Not only did he flee the restaurant but he also left the woman stranded and forced to shoulder the entire bill.
“I’m going on a date tonight… and I was supposed to meet him at the restaurant a minute ago. I get to my car and my car won’t start so I texted him and he said he could come pick me up,” Annie explained in her viral clip.
“Usually I don’t let men pick me up but I’m going to need somebody to help jump start my car.”
Speaking of the “horror” story, Annie revealed she met the man on Hinge before arranging to go on a date with him. She also said her problems with starting the car were just the beginning of the drama that went down that night.
“He went to the bathroom and never came back,” she added in an update.
After returning home disappointed and with a much lighter wallet, she added: “As you just saw, the man left me. He picked me all the way up, drove me all the way to the bar and then he ordered a drink. He drank the whole drink and then he went to the bathroom and never came back.
“He left me knowing damn well that I was stranded because my car hadn’t started, so he picked me up. He knew that I was stranded.”
Concluding her story, Annie said this was her first, and probably the last, date in 2024. She also warned other women to proceed with caution when getting together with strangers they have met online.
