A woman who was a bully for 18 long years has revealed that she wouldn’t change her ‘cruel’ behavior that made her ‘feel good’ and gave her a ‘power boost’.
Cally Stewart revealed that she was bullied as a child and she is now ‘apologetic’ for her actions.
“I used to be an absolute b***h,” the mother-of-two said, adding she laughed about what other girls were wearing and how she called them ‘fat.’
“My husband thought I was a complete psycho. I recognize now how awful it is but at the time it made me feel good,” Cally said.
“It was a coping mechanism, but after 18 years of being a bully I realized this and made a change in my behavior – now I wake up loving life.”
Her husband Nigel, 51, said that he feels like he is now married to a different woman as he can clearly see the substantial change in his wife’s personality.
“He jokes that he was married to one woman for 14 years and another for five. Although I’m apologetic for the impact my behavior had on others I wouldn’t change it,” Cally went on.
“It served me to be a bully at the time.”
The mother-of-two said she started acting out after she answered back to her own bullies at school.
“People used to call me ‘Smelly Kelly’ because it rhymed better than using my real name,” she continued.
“I had a council house and hand me downs so I was an easy target. But then I realized my bullies had nothing if I wasn’t scared.”
After 18 years of bullying others, Cally booked herself into a spiritual retreat and she worked hard to turn her life around.
“I went from hating myself and saying the nastiest things about others to changing that behavior and loving everything,” she said.
“Nigel will admit that I was an absolute nightmare from the age of 16 to 30. I’m a completely different person now.
“Now I run a business helping people find self-love and working through their beliefs.”
