A bride has sparked outrage after demanding all bridesmaids cut their hair so that she would have the longest hair during her wedding.
The bizarre demand was explained by the bride’s sister who insisted that the woman “is losing her mind” over her long locks.
“So my sister’s getting married soon, like a couple months, I’m happy for her, the guy she’s marrying is a cool enough person and they work well together,” the bride’s sister wrote.
“She asked me to be a bridesmaid at her wedding party and I accepted.point 166 | Then she started listing her requirements, some understandable (Like wearing longer sleeves to cover up my tattoos, I’m fine with that), but one of them was really weird and felt kind of pointed at me, everyone in the wedding party must have shorter hair than the bride by at least 6 inches.point 408 |

The distraught sister continued: “Now, my hair is super important to me, it’s a significant part of my identity and I really love it, it’s knee length and I take super good care of it. My sister’s is to the middle of her back, so about two feet shorter than mine, she has longer hair than her friends aside from one who agreed to cut her hair, I did not.”
The young lady went on to reveal that the bride “freaked out” after she told her that she wanted to keep her hair as it was.
Infuriated, the bridezilla went on to accuse her sister of trying to “distract people from her” and steal the spotlight on her big day.
Unwilling to budge under pressure, the sister offered to step down as the bridesmaid and have someone with shorter hair step in to fill her place.
The bride, however, didn’t stop there. Rather than agreeing to her sister’s proposal, she went on to pressure the groom into talking to her sister in an attempt to manipulate her into cutting her hair.
After that didn’t work, the bride finally gave up on her sister being the bridesmaid and cutting her hair.
“I got a phone call from the bride herself, she was crying and said fine I don’t have to cut my hair or be a bridesmaid but to please wear it up,” the poster added.
“So at the very least she came to some kind of compromise, I think she was expecting me to feel bad and come around cause when I said, dope I’ll just be a guest then she began crying harder and hung up.”
After the woman’s story went viral on Reddit, viewers slammed the bride and suggested she had some serious issues with jealousy and the need for attention.
“So, your sister is jealous of your hair and finding a convoluted way for you to have it shorter is the only thing she found to « win » hair-wise? Whatever her issues are: don’t cut your hair,” someone urged.
“I can’t imagine ever asking someone to change their appearance for my benefit. Crazy,” another said.
A third wrote: “She can’t tell you what to do with your body, and that most definitely includes your hair. Sounds as though she may be a bit jealous and now want people to comment on your lovely ‘do.”
