An upset mother has spoken out and revealed her baby shower didn’t go as planned because of a cheap-looking cake that was nothing like what she ordered.

As the young lady in question explained in her Facebook post, she ordered a cake consisting of a base made of cupcakes and a fondant top resembling a baby onesie.

What she received for her 45 dollars, however, was a “cheaper” version of the cake with botched icing and an uneven top.

Taking to the internet to share her disappointment over the cake and ask people for advice on how to fix it ahead of her party, the mother wrote: “I’m crying, my baby shower is tomorrow.”

Soon enough, her post went viral and plenty of moms admitted they, too, would be disappointed by the botched design.

Others, however, suggested that she might be overreacting and that the cake doesn’t look too bad considering how little she paid for it.

“It can definitely be saved!! Maybe add some blue edible pearls to the dots and white ones across the leg part?” one person suggested.

“It isn’t that bad. No one will remember the cake,” another said.

“It’s a very simple design to mess up!!! And I’m seriously hoping you at least requested blue?” a third argued.

One viewer wrote: “Wow it was really a simple tasks and they completely butchered it.”

Others went on to encourage the mom not to overthink the issue surrounding the cake and focus on enjoying the event to the fullest instead.

Some also advised the mom not to let such a small matter ruin her party and stress her out.
